About the craft
Every saree here is woven by hand in one of eight clusters: the kadhwa brocades of Varanasi, the korvai temple borders of Kanchipuram, the nine-month double ikat of Patan, the tapestry pallus of Paithan, the airy silk-cotton of Chanderi, the wild tussar of Bhagalpur, the feathered chevrons of Pochampally and the hand-tied bandhani of Kutch.
How to tell a real one: turn it over. Handloom zari floats show on the reverse; a printed or powerloom copy is flat. Look at the border join: a korvai border is woven separately and interlocked, so the color never bleeds across the seam.

Yes, fall and pico are done on every saree before it ships. Pre-pleating, so the saree drapes in minutes, is available for $20.
Every handwoven piece comes with a certificate of authenticity naming its craft and the region it was woven in. Turn the piece over: handloom zari shows its floats on the reverse, and a korvai border is interlocked thread by thread rather than printed. If you ever have a doubt about a piece, write to us and we will make it right.
A portion of every sale goes back to the rural weaving and artisan communities our pieces come from. We work with family looms and small workshops directly, pay them fairly and promptly, and put something back into the villages that keep these crafts alive.
Yes. Every order is shipped insured, tracked and signed for. Standard delivery within the US takes three to six business days and is complimentary on orders of $150 or more; express delivery arrives in two business days. We also ship internationally, with duties shown at checkout where we collect them.
Unworn pieces with their tags can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund to the original payment method, and exchanges of size are free. Jewelry must be unworn and in its box.
